A self-guided ridge-line traverse of Slovenia's iconic Triglav, with two protected sections, panoramic exposure, and a Tour Handbook from a local alpine expert.
A classic ridge-line day above the treeline, suitable for fit travellers with a head for exposure. You'll walk 10 hours, climb 1,550 m, and top out on the highest point in Slovenia — then descend to a staffed hut before returning through forest.
The tour is self-guided. You own the day, the pace, and the decisions. What we provide is the work a great guide would put in beforehand: a vetted route, hour-by-hour timing, safety notes for every hazard, shelter plans for bad weather, and the little personal hints that turn a hard day into a rewarding one.
This is a strenuous day. Don't pick it as your first alpine tour. If you've done a full day at altitude on a good path — say, Snežnik or Grintovec — you're ready. If you haven't, start with something easier and come back to Triglav next season.
